Well, let’s add Maine to the map of The United Hates Of
America. I think by denying Gay people their right to
marry should be deemed a “Hate Crime,” because it has
become a form of “Emotional Genocide” against a single
group of tax paying Americans. Literally “killing” their
chance at spending their lives with the person they love,
wanting to be able to show that love in the same way as
every other American, and being given the same rights as
every other couple.
The Mormon Church should be held accountable for their
never-ending Hatred of Gays. They went into the state of
California, spent millions of dollars on a campaign of
Fear and misinformation ( intimidation, if you will) to
get the result they wanted in a supposedly “free
election.” Doesn’t that sound like the same thing that the
taliban did in Afghanistan? I know the taliban used guns
and murder, but the result was the same. Different
weapons, same tactics, same result and both driven by hate
to achieve these results. The only real difference that I
can see, seemed to be our reaction. When the taliban did
it, America condemned it, when the Mormons did it, America
applauded. Is it any wonder the world is confused by our
double standard in foreign policy, especially when it sees
how we treat our own citizens. Is this getting through to
anyone?
What’s even more bizarre to me is the Louisiana Justice of
the Peace who is being forced out of office for refusing
to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple.
Apparentl this guy “hated” the idea of people of different
races getting married. I have to admire the public outcry
though, it was swift and loud. If it wasn’t so pitiful, it
would be funny. Would there have been such an outcry fifty
years ago? I don’t think so. So now, he’s deemed a hateful
bigot because, How Dare Him Deny Those People The Right To
Marry? This is America, right?
I now know why most politicians, when times are tough,
they cut funding to education first because ignorant
Americans are so much easier to lead and control. The next
generations should wake up and take notice before they
become exactly like their parents, or worse.
This methodical campaign of hate against Gays and Gay
marriage, in particular, should be seen for exactly what
it is – Hatred! Those who willingly participate in
these “obvious hate crimes” should be held accountable for
their actions. Religious groups and others who plan,
finance, and control these campaigns of hate should be put
on the same “watch list” as others who undermine the
rights and freedoms of Americans.
My own state, Nevada, is another perfect example of what
to do when you don’t really want to do anything
meaningful. It’s “Domestic Partnership” is their own way
of trying to pacify one group without offending another.
It’s almost funny. It’s supposed to be” just like
marriage,” without being called marriage. I guess they
learned that from the military when they would go into a
country to conduct a “ police action, “ while what they
were really carrying out was a war. Still, I guess it
follows the normal behavior here in Nevada, especially in
Las Vegas, because most guys who come here only pretend to
be married anyway, so why not give that same right to
Gays. Those “Domestic Partnership” certificates, I
think , are actually printed on recycled toilet paper, which serves two purposes, in case the “partnership” goes bad and is
only useful when it has the appropriate “shit” on it.
I hope I live long enough to see the day when America
finally decides that everyone deserves the right to marry
whomever they love. God has decided who you should love,
so America should not be deciding who you should marry.
Never mind Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, it appears to
have spread throughout the rest of America. What a sad
commentary on this nation. We somehow forgot to practice
what we preach, especially as far as the rest of the world
is concerned.
I find it even more ironic, that in the healthcare debate
in Washington, the “public option” is being criticized
because it will take away an American’s “right to choose.”
God forbid, we should even try to take away their “right
to choose!” Why that would just be, “un-American!” Isn’t
it amazing when you look at the whole picture, just how
ridiculous it all looks? These Americans don’t want
their “freedom of choice” taken away, but can go and vote
to take that right away from someone else? How do these
people justify their thinking? I think the healthcare
debate has been going this long because the politicians in
Washington are confused. “Do Americans want Freedom of
Choice or not?” They want it in their healthcare, but not
to all of its’ citizens.
I hope sometime in the future, no hate will be a reality
and not just a slogan on a t-shirt. I know I won’t live to
see it, but hopefully someday the people will finally wake
up and realize they really were the ones the world has
been following all these years. We’ve been the “perfect
example” to the world of how hate should be conducted in
a “free” society – through “honest and free” elections.
Only then can they enjoy the “same freedoms” that we as
Americans, take for granted.
I think singer/composer Biff Rose said it best, “If the
red, white, and blue sometimes gets you down, change it to
the red, white, and brown!” Because it’s just all a bunch
of shit!
